Ben Franklin said A penny saved is a penny earned. He lived in a time when there were no social security taxes, no state income taxes, and no federal income taxes. If he were alive today he might say $10 saved is $13 to $16 earned, depending on your tax bracket and place of residence. And money-saving tips is what this site is all about.
Hi! My name is Skip. I'm just a regular guy that wants to share some real-life money-saving
experiences with you. This is not one of those sites that explains how eliminating a
daily tall decaf non-fat latte will turn into a fortune in 30 or 40 years.
Rather, I have collected a number of stories about how people have saved money
without giving things up. I live in the Chicago area and so some of my personal
experiences are specific to my locale. Click on the topics on the right side
of this page for some examples. New topics will be added regularly so please check back often.
If you have some money-saving tips that you would like to share with others please let me know. Your email address will not be given or sold to anyone. I only ask for it in case I want to email you back in the event that I have some questions about your submission. General comments about this web site are also welcome but spam is not.
I am not a doctor, lawyer, or financial planner (or a professional web designer, obviously). This site contains my own opinions and experiences and tips submitted to me by my readers. The tips are not professional advice and should not be construed as such.
